From July 29, 2020 - Mayor Lori Lightfoot, along with the University of Illinois System, World Business Chicago, and Lollapalooza will invite 200 top-tier university students from across the city and country to take a behind-the-scenes tour of Chicago’s vibrant technology ecosystem and attend this year’s four-day Lollapalooza music festival.

Tour some of Chicago’s most innovative companies
Meet with key industry leaders; participate in talks and presentations featuring Chicago technologists and entrepreneurs
Attend Lollapalooza 2020 music festival, plus a walkthrough of the artist production areas.

PLEASE NOTE: we are closely coordinated with the City of Chicago and Lollapalooza event producers on any possible changes to the 2020 event due to COVID-19. We will share updates with interested ThinkChicago participants as soon as they are released.

Students are accepted into the program based on their interest in digital technology, computer science, innovation, entrepreneurship and demonstrated commitment to excellence. Most students are in their junior or senior years of their undergraduate studies, but students from other years are also encouraged to apply.
