Telling the story on why Chicago leads as a global hub for tech, innovation & entrepreneurship

"Every year, more tech companies are opening offices in Chicago, creating new jobs for our city’s unmatched workforce and furthering our status as a leading hub for 21st-century innovation," - Mayor Lori Lightfoot (11.18.2019)

ThinkChicago invites some of the brightest university students across the city and around the country to explore Chicago's dynamic tech economy and innovation ecosystem. In partnership with the city's leading corporates and tech companies, we connect diverse, top-tier talent with career opportunities - both full-time jobs and internships.

    Our ThinkChicago programs include:

    • ThinkChicago Lollapalooza & ThinkChicago Chicago Ideas Week: our flagship events take place during two of Chicago’s signature cultural events, Lollapalooza and Chicago Ideas Week, where students explore the city's innovation ecosystem, engage with local tech community leaders, and the opportunity to attend the signature event. Due to COVID-19, we hosted ThinkChicago-from-Home 2020 this past July 29 to 31 - our first ever all virtual ThinkChicago summer flagship event.
    • ThinkChicago Campus Roadshows: led by the Mayor's Office, we bring Chicago's leading tech and innovation companies to engage students with career-building opportunities on campus.
    • ThinkChicago Webinars & Virtual Workshops: we partner with university entrepreneurship centers and student groups to connect Chicago's tech community leaders, a valuable addition to existing campus entrepreneurship-focused programming.
